My comments on tutoring Genetics : I was top of my college class in this subject.

I received my B.S. degree in Biology, and am knowledgeable about many sub-disciplines, including life sciences (plants/animals), genetics, evolution, and anatomy. I am generally able to explain difficult biological concepts in a more conversational way. I've worked with high school youth in the past (approx. 2 years experience) in a crew structure teaching job skills (resume writing, interviewing, etc.) and basic biological/ecological principles. I have worked with family and friends to teach basic personal finance and resume-writing tips to help them achieve great results. I am primarily an environmental consultant, and I routinely use MS Office programs to analyze, organize, and present data in easy-to-understand ways. A Little Bit About Me...

I prefer an interactive teaching style where the student determines how much they get out of it. I generally will not give a student an answer but will help them along until they can answer the question for themselves, thus making them more independent learners.
As a tutor, I primarily held 1 on 1 appointments several days a week. I primarily tutored in all levels of chemistry from general to biochem and I also tutored in accounting due to the introductory course that I had. My work as a supplemental instructor was by far the most rewarding. My job was to attend the Nursing Chemistry lectures and to take notes and create my own worksheets based on the material. I then conducted 2 review sessions per week to help the students master the material.
