I enjoy tutoring immensely and look forward to beginning again. I like the challenge of engaging and reaching different types of learners. I use my social works skills in tutoring and vice versa. I think these two fields are closely related in the sense that I seek to empower my students as I would my clients.

A Little Bit About Me...

At my Ivy League college, we were taught not just facts, but how to learn. This invaluable skill has stood me well and put me in an excellent position to teach. I have continued to love to learn and retained my strengths in both critical reading and in math. I recently took the SAT to demonstrate my qualification for tutoring and scored in the 98th percentile. I have always had a knack for taking a complicated topic and being able to explain it simply and clearly. I can tell when students do not completely understand – despite what they may say – and will stick with a concept until it is demonstrably clear.
