Getting the best out of my students

Using right method of teaching help students to gain confidence in themselves. Motivation is part of the learning process Every student is a winner. The students I helped were mainly from a program called University Migrant Services, a program that I was part of and helped me a lot at the start of my career. I am a very down to earth person especially when it comes to kids. I always try to lighten up the mood and make learning things interesting and fun. I don't like to dismiss when I see a child having trouble in something. Every person has a different way of learning, I try to cater to each of their needs.
I have tutored children in reading last summer. It was one of the most gratifying things I have done. I worked with English as second language children ranging from ages 5 to 13. I graduated from Fresno State in 1990 and have worked in the private sector ever since. I started out as an entry level accountant and worked my way up to Chief Financial Officer. Currently, I am self-employed, helping businessed get out of a financial bind or to help clean up their accounting. Before I was an accounting major, I was a mathematics major. I have taken a great deal of math classes and I am very good with numbers. I decided on accounting rather than math because at the time, I wasn't interested in pursuing a teaching credential.
