I have wanted to help others learn for as long as I can remember; even as early as the fourth grade I was helping my classmates with assignments. I have always loved learning and helping others to learn. I earned a BS in Psychology in college so I would have a better understanding of how the mind works and learns. I never turned a person down; if I did not know much about a subject I would research it. I even took a course that would teach me how to assist individuals with essays and research papers. Once that is understood the material can be introduced to them in a way that they can perceive. I also feel that it is important to empower students to have the confidence to think for themselves and understand their own ability to make connections about the material.
