Calculus I is one of my top subjects!

I believe in teaching all subjects using innovative methods that are tailored to the specific student. I have taught C++ programming through the use of robots, chemistry with cosmetics, and physics with music. I begin by listening to the student and understanding exactly what level they are at. I then develop a plan of action to get them to the level they need to be at for the grades they want. I don't believe that there is any such thing as a dumb question, only ignorant teachers. As such, my sucess is not based off of how well I explained the subject, but on how well the student understood. I will spend how many hours it takes to equip a student with the knowledge they need to take control of their own success.

As a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University I have dedicated a lot of my time and effort to learning concepts of physics. I have earned a bachelor degree in physics with a minor in mathematics graduating with a 4.0 in both my major and minor classes. I graduated magna cum laude, was awarded introductory to physics student of the year, awarded the Ted M. George outstanding senior in physics award, and taught an introductory to physics lab at Eastern Kentucky University Fall 2009. For the last three years I have worked as a physics and mathematics tutor. Unlike most tutors I have experience teaching on the college level. I worked as an assistant physics professor at Eastern Kentucky University during my last year of undergraduate study. Currently I have a BS in Physics Engineering, which has allowed me to gain a thorough understanding of physics and mathematics. This fall I will start graduate school in which I will be pursuing a MS in physics. I will work as a graduate teaching assistant, in which I will also have to teach college students in physics.
