Over the years I have found math and reading/writing to be important skills and they were amongst the most useful tools I had ever learned. Over the years it has served we well and I enjoy teaching the material to younger people while explaining to them its benefits, but also allowing them to have a skill that will serve them well. A Little Bit About Me...

I was taught to teach by "Socratic Method" which is possibly the best way to teach/tutor. I ask many questions to check the students responsiveness and understanding of key areas of the topics including a reinforcing of the ideas being learned. I cannot count how many students I have had come in frustrated and confused and then quickly answer questions that were simple and built up to understanding harder ideas by the end of a session. And the best award of all is seeing joy and elation that they have a good chance of getting a high grade after learning material. "Socratic Method" is the best proof a tutor can see that a student is learning and has learned what they have been taught.
