A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching Music in 1984. I taught part-time, temporary while pursuing education goals and working as a professional musician. In 1998 I became an adult educator, and in the following nine years I taught GED, Workforce, Computer and ESL. I learned to speak Spanish from some of my ESL students. Today I run a new program called Bachillerato de las Americas en Arkansas, comprised of curricula obtained from Kingston, Jamaica and Heredia, Costa Rica. I enjoy teaching all age levels.
I consider myself a facilitator, not an authoritarian. I ascribe to the principles set forth by Malcolm Knowels and Benjamin Bloom. I rely on the strength and motivation of the student.
