I beleive everyone can learn, you just have to work with them. I am easy going, considerate, enthusiastic, and helpful with students. M goal is to help students learn the most they can. I beleve in a very hands on, active approach to learning, not just reading and repeating a textbook.
I have been on the National Dean's List as well as the Dean's list for my college, I was very much driven to achieve a high level of excellence in everything I do. I have my bachelor degree, BS in Chemistry, As well as an associates in Graphic Design. I have gained an understanding in many areas of math and science and spacial concepts. I prefer to work with students from the 4th grade up thru college level, and have experience working with individuals with special educational needs. I believe that each student has his/her own learning style. Some are visual learners, some auditory, some experiential. I try to tailor my teaching to each individual's style. I enjoy helping students understand the principles they are dealing with, rather than focusing on helping them simply "get the answer" to the problem at hand. My goal is for them to be able to generalize the concept and apply it in different contexts. To develop interest, I seek to discuss related information or similar problems as much as possible.
