I hate lecturing! I do! This is why my tutoring style is very interactive. I don't like talking AT a person, I prefer to have a conversation. My goal as a tutor is to make subjects interesting, and also to make sure they stick- so you can do well on exams. I also teach study skills in every session, so ideally you won't have to rely on me forever. Teaching can be a most wonderful adventure. I believe every child can learn. At times students or overwhelming with new concepts, and they need to be encouraged, and praise until they can accomplish the task at hand. In High School I discovered that not only was I skilled in math and science, but that I was effective in tutoring other students in these subjects. I started professionally tutoring students younger than me when I was a junior and continued until I graduated college. I successfully tutored students in Algebra, Geometry/Trig, Algebra 2, Pre-Calc, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and SAT Prep. A Little Bit About Me...

In 2009, I completed a profession editing certificate to add to my degrees in English and rhetoric. Because of this experience, I am confident teaching and tutoring the humanities (English, history, philosophy, etc.) at high-school and college levels. For two years, I have taught all subjects as an aid in a fourth and fifth grade special day (SDC) class.
