Hi! I am graduating in May from a teacher preparation program at a local college. I was nominated for Promising Teacher of the Year in 2015. I am currently student teaching in Wichita. I have worked with children in a variety of roles from being a nanny, babysitting, working in a nursery, to being a paraprofessional. I will have obtained licensing to teach kindergarten through sixth grade in May of this year.

I have always wanted to teach and love working with children. I spent 18 years working for full time for the Kansas National guard. I worked in Logistics for 13 years, then I worked as a budget analyst for the KSARNG for 5 years. I am a veteran who has traveled all over. I enjoy discovering student's learning styles and connecting with them where they are. I am a special education teacher with 6 credit hours to go until I have earned my Master in Adaptive Special Education. I student taught 5th grade, was a middle school special education para for the remainder of that school year once I earned my Bachelor's then transitioned into 2-4th grade adaptive Math, and all Language Arts.
