My comments on tutoring Writing Skills : I love writing poems.

Reggio Emilia inspired way of learning where the children learn while they play and create. Lots of imagination and fun.
I graduated from Eastern Oregon University in 1988 and have taught elementary age for many years. I homeschooled my seven children part of that time and now they are responsible, successful people. Now I'm a retired elementary school teacher and have a half day preschool in the bottom of my home. It has it's own entrance and play yard. Love my kids! In our school, I teach sign language Zoophonics, curiosity using the inspired Reggio Emilia style, a unique method from Italy. We have lots of fun.

I have an unparalleled amount of patience.

My first teaching experience was in high school teaching at after school programs about basic economic principles that may apply to kids. That was my first time understanding that I have potential to assist others in grasping topics. In my college career, I found myself teaching people everything from music to proper uses of tense/grammar. It was there that i learned that you really only learn a small fraction of what you need to help you in life in the classroom. The rest must be learned on your own or with some one-on-one counseling. I firmly believe that a good education must be adaptable, flexible, and incorporate a variety of learning styles if it is to be of maximum benefit to students. A Little Bit About Me...

I received a BA in General Business from WSU, and was honored as a Cum Laude graduate. The courses were varied and included a wide array of math application, from supply and demand curves to interest rate calculations. My classmates gave me the nickname "Webster" because I was frequently asked to edit their papers and to tutor them in several different subjects. I love working with teenagers, and watching their faces change when they really GET a concept for the first time!
I believe students will rise to the level of expectations set for them. I am a bit of a comedian, and I use humor to allay frustration in learning situations.
