I studied post secondary in high school and graduated in the top ten of my class. I was on the deans list every year of my college career. I was a teachers aid at the University of Minnesota for three years in the anatomy department. I was a the lead embalmer for the University and worked for the Anatomy bequest program. I was licensed in mortuary science in 2007 and have been working as a funeral director and Retail manager for the past three years.
I believe that the purpose of tutoring is to help students help themselves, or to assist or guide them to the point at which they become an independent learner. I enjoy working with children and believe I have the qualites such as patience, perseverance, and desire to help all types of students succeed. I believe with guidance and a positive attitude children are able to accomplish what they set out to accomplish. My ability to communicate well and stay positive is important for a child's growth and I strive to make a difference in their lives.
As a graduate from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology I have gained knowledge and expertise in communicating with people, presenting information, and expressing myself in papers, essays and reports. Following the completion of my degree I had the opportunity to become a baseball coach where I fully utilized my communication skills in my attempt to enlighten the players.
