My comments on tutoring Microsoft Office : I have taken courses to help my perfect my Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint,and Access skills. I can help anyone learn how to use this tool and have university-sanctioned activities through which to do so.

I am in my third year at Ball State University. I recently changed my major from Biology to Accounting; therefore, I have lots of knowledge in many different areas - some that aren't listed on my profile. I am experienced in categories ranging from Biology to Accounting to baking. I won several Grand Champion awards in Indiana's Madison County 4-H program for Baking and Woodworking while I have A's in Chemistry, Accounting, Biology, Spanish, Calculus, and many many other subjects from Ball State University. I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. A Little Bit About Me...

I would characterize my teaching style as relationally oriented. I want the student to know that I care about him or her. I may not articulate as much, but I want the student to see that I am giving my time to serve their needs and not my own. Loosely speaking, I am also a proponent of multiple intelligences. The creative teacher can usually identify a way to relate material and content using a methodology that connects. My teaching style is based in facts. I philosophically reject radical post-modernity which posits that truth is a moving target. The student does not have the right to tell me that 1+1 = 3 because 1+1 = 2.
