I have helped many of my friends and other students become better writers throughout and beyond my college career. I have seen all of these students gain good grades for their work, and they also became better writers through the process. Writing papers is one of the few things I found easy in college. I enjoyed writing and the process so much that I majored in the subject. I have written way too many ten- twenty page papers in my life, struggled to see the project come to a close, and rejoice in happiness after the grade was posted/ returned. Turning your weakness into your strength

I have been tutoring for over seven years, starting with my peers in tenth grade. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, from Geometry through Calculus III, from general computer knowledge through utilizing the advanced functions of Microsoft Access. I have tutored people ranging from my peers to people three times my age, to as young as third graders. My motto has evolved into "Helping those who feel they can not be helped"
I help guide the student along, having them discover much of the information in a trial and error fashion. A teacher never stops teaching, and never ceases learning.

I have to first find the learning style of the student. As a teacher, I find that students have diverse ways of learning and that I must adapt my teaching style to their needs. For instance, I have some students who are auditory learners and sometimes retain information more if information is read orally to them. Some students must have a generous amount of explanation as to the content of what he or she is reading while otheers require many visual cues to accompany their learning. It really depends upon the student.
