I served in the US Army Reserves as a JAG Officer; and provided instruction and counsel to many young soldiers. My teaching experience was at the college level: • as a graduate assistant at Northern Illinois University • as a full time member of the faculty at Morton College • as a graduate assistant (Doctoral program) University of Washington I hold a BS and an MS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University, I took the CPA exam in the Spring 1968 and passed all parts on the first attempt, and I hold an MBA from the University of Washington. As a graduate of the University of Virginia, I was very dedicated to learning as much as possible. I double majored in Government and Sociology, yet was able to take numerous courses in other areas as well. After earning my undergraduate degree, I decided to pursue graduate school immediately. I was offered Graduate Teaching Assistantships at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. I can say I have a vast amount of training and expereience in science, physics, chemistry, mathematics, as well as the liberal arts. I score as an ITSP on the Myers-Briggs evaluation which means I am not only concrete in speech and utilitarian in getting things done, I am also directive and attentive in teaching settings. I have done a small amount of teaching at the junior college level and am comfortable giving oral presentations to groups of people.
My teaching style has been to make learning fun and easy to remember. When I have taught I've been very interactive with the students and have gotten many compliments from students and patients as well, on my ability to communicate on almost any level.
