I believe that learning is the goal of life. While there are successes and failures there is always learning. Teaching is a priveldged position which requires integrity, honesty, humility. Teachers are duty bound to their students. Teaching is more that just imparting subject matter knowledge, it is about advancing a students critical thinking and ideally advancing their sense and belief in themsleves. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1997 with majors in Accounting and Finance. In addition, I obtained minors in History and Economics. In 2002, I obtained my CPA license. In 2007, I obtained my MBA degree from Indiana Wesleyan. Since 2008, I have been teaching at Indiana Wesleyan. I have taught classes in areas of Economics, Finance, and Accounting. Classes range from the associates to masters degree level.
I enjoy helping people meet their goals. My style usually starts with a question and answer session. In addition, I like to have an upfront phone call or exchange of emails before beginning a session. This allows me to prepare for the session and maximize the value to the student.

I have passed the Uniform CPA exam and have over two decades of experience in private industry performing in a financial management capacity. In addition, I have taught accounting in a post secondary academic environment.
I believe in foundation. Acquiring an education, whether general or specialized, is a process of building from the ground up.
