My comments on tutoring Piano : I enjoy playing the piano and singing and have taken lessons since I was 7.

2012 college graduate, majored in German language with a French language minor. I tutored foreign languages all 4 years in the Academic Resource Center at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. As part of our seminar classes, I also tutored Math at the Alexander II Elementary School in Macon. I have volunteer experience at the Joshua House After-school program. I was born in Romania and visit my family often so I can refresh my knowledge of the Romanian language as well.
I am a "kid-at-heart" who has a passion for helping other learn and succeed. I enjoy foreign languages and I want to share my enthusiasm with others. I strive for efficiency in teaching style, but I realize the importance of studying each student to see what motivates each one to take the next step closer to the goal. It is not enough for me to simply disseminate information. I believe it is vital that the student understands what she or he needs to know. I graduated summa cum laude from Berea College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I haven taken many courses in biology and chemistry. I am also very proficient in algebra and trigonometry, and I have taken one course in calculus. As a high school student I worked in an after school program tutoring children in grades 3 to 8 in reading and math. During college I volunteered in “one-on-one tutoring” where I met weekly with a student to tutor her in basic math. I also worked as a teaching assistant in the biology department of my college.
