A Little Bit About Me...

I have teached german in romania. I have finished modern applied languages german and french. I have a teachers licence for these langauages. I am open to new students and people. Personal training in german for children as well as ealder people was a freetime activity in my homecountry. I teached german in a school in Sibiu Romania. Working with children has always made fun and coming from a different country is a plus for me aswell as the ones who want to learn german french and perhaps romanian with me.

German is one of my top subjects! I have received a B.A. in German Language from Mercer University in Macon, GA. I have spent time abroad in the host country during the summer.

2012 college graduate, majored in German language with a French language minor. I tutored foreign languages all 4 years in the Academic Resource Center at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. As part of our seminar classes, I also tutored Math at the Alexander II Elementary School in Macon. I have volunteer experience at the Joshua House After-school program. I was born in Romania and visit my family often so I can refresh my knowledge of the Romanian language as well.

Assuming that most students would rather be anywhere than an English class, I listen to their interests of the moment and then relate them to my goals. I explore their previous knowledge and build on that, avoiding either boring them or talking over their heads. I listen, we laugh, and then I reel them in, constantly showing them how my goals are relevant to their ultimate desires. Fast, if not immediate, feedback is essential to keeping students motivated, as is elaborate explanation of why they scored what they score. Therefore, students see themselves as in control of their own learning, with a benevolent and knowledgeable mentor easing them along.
