Makes science and math easy to understand

I'm a visual learner, but I incorporate several different teaching styles to make course material meaningful to the students I tutor.
I've been tutoring at a college level for over two and a half years. I aim to take the more complex material and make it super easy to comprehend. Students have very stressful lives on their own; learning needs to be made fun and engaging. I attempt to do just that. I would describe my teaching style as being essentially constructivist. I strive to show students how the subject matter is relevant to them and help them see the benefit derived from mastering a subject area. I try to analyze the student's learning style and their current weaknesses in order to tailor the instruction to meet their needs. I believe I am patient and respectful. I believe in inquiry based learning, or teaching any subject by incorporating the student's natural curiosity and drawing connections to their interests. I don't taking a long time to teach a student how to approach a single problem or concept and foster their understanding of the material so that they will understand how to approach the problem on their own. In other words, I put energy into explaining why they should do something so that they can reason through it themselves in a test situation.
