I am a retired Special Education teacher. I was employed by Madison Consolidated Schools until this past June. The first 24 years of teaching was in an elementary school with experience in grades 1 - 6. I then moved to the Junior High School for the last nine years of my career. I spent the majority of these years with 6th grade students teaching math and Language Arts. My comments on tutoring Writing : Beginning and intermediate levels of writing require dedication to the practice of basics and then the transitional stretch to the intermediate level. I make certain that each student conquers his/her particular problems so the he/she can readily step up to the next area of success.

I combine various styles from "old school" to best practices to differentiated offers.
I have taught nearly all areas of language arts including, but not limited to, ECA/GQE remediation, SAT/ACT prep, beginning-intermediate-advance composition, AP English/literature, poetry, American literature, British literature, drama, speech, and school newspaper. Helping students to Become Life Long Learners
