Fun Tutor Focusing on Individualizing for each Child's Needs

I have been teaching for 4 and a half years as a third grade teacher in the city of St. Louis. In this position I have created lesson plans and have worked in a whole group setting as well as individually with students. I was a teaching assistant for past 1 year for 2 different subjects for 2 semesters. I used to conduct lab sessions, correct home works, labs and quizzes. It was my responsibility to make students understand the lab and help them to get the solutions. In this past 1 year I came to know that every student has different level of understanding and we have to clear their doubt by getting at their level. We have to be always fully prepared with complete curriculum.
Practical examples and theory are equally important. Before finalizing the class schedule for a semester it is important to understand average understanding of the class. I like teaching students by explaining the material in a way I think is easiest to understand. I always emphasize how the material relates to what students already knows and how they can use what they know to solve problems.
