Experienced, university-quality instruction at low rates

I prefer face-to-face interaction, as language learning is a social experience. With that in mind, I am happy with one-on-one tutoring as well as small groups, even with different levels of experience. Also, language learning should be fun! While the basics such as vocabulary, rules of grammar, etc. are necessary, that does not mean instruction needs to be boring.

I was so determined to get better at my learning disabilities that I decided to go to a tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

A proverb I once heard best describes my teaching philosophy: "Tell me and I forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I become." Thus, my goal as a tutor is to help students discover for themselves. That way learning becomes not only more engaging, but more lasting as well.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught and tutored K-12 subjects English, Basic Math, History, and Science for three years as an Educational Specialist helping home school students. For the past three years I have taught in Utah Elementary schools in the primary grades. My favorite job of all time was teaching ESL in a middle school.
