A Little Bit About Me...

I was an Aide in the resource center at Pollard Middle School in Massachusetts and interned as a floating substitute at Elias Howe School in Bridgeport. I student taught fourth grade at Stratford Academy. I was also an Aide for grades 5 and 6 and Christian Heritage School in Trumbull and taught grade six at CHS last year. I am currently a Title 1 Tutor at Franklin Elementary School in Stratford.
I love the challenge and creativity that comes with teaching. To see kids have "lightbulb" moments is very rewarding and exciting to me. I am energetic, efficient and compassionate. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently in my last semester of my Masters program at St. John’s University and will have my New York State Initial certification in K-6 by May 2011.As a student teacher in the first and fourth grade classrooms, I have been able to utilize and build upon the courses taken as part of my education. I was able to design and implement my own lesson plans, as well as modify to meet the needs of all students. From this experience I have been able to further develop instruction for both groups and individuals in reading and math. Prior to my student teaching I was a teaching assistant in a preschool for students with disabilities.
