Education in my life has been my number one motivating factor for success. Throughout my educational career I have always been organized and a group leader when it came to helping my fellow students with projects/homework/studying, etc. For many years I tutored individuals in English, Math, Social Studies/History, German, Psychology and Arts. I graduated from Stony Brook University and have a bachelor's degree in health science with a concentration in medical informatics. I have an extensive education in biology, chemistry, and physics. My oldest is a national merit scholar finalist, and my youngest son is captain of his high school math team. Math is fun, like a puzzle-once the student sees this fact, they begin having more fun and less fear of the subject.
I am a patient teacher, and I use many different ways of communication. I try to find the style of learning best suited to my pupil. Removing the fear of the subject seems to be the most important part.
