Composition is one of my top subjects! I have taught composition for two years as an adjunct instructor at Shawnee State University.

I am a naturally laid back person who can remain calm under stress and likes to see students reach their goals.
Immediately after I obtained my bachelors degree in English/communications with a minor in journalism I began substitute teaching at Portsmouth City Schools as well as teaching developmental writing and composition English classes as an adjunct at Shawnee State University. Composition is one of my top subjects! I have taught English, communications, creative as well as business writing, and a variety of language arts areas for over six years at the elementary through Career College level.

Student-centered, Co-intentional. I believe that the key to learning is the motivation to want to learn. Once that has been accomplished, just stand back and guide the student to what they want next.
I have worked in schools in Kentucky and Ohio. I have been a tutor, intervention aide, long term substitute teacher, and regular classroom teacher. I love children of all ages. I am very patient and laid back. I am kind, and considerate of others. My goal would be to help the child learn and understand, while making the experience a fun and rewarding one. I believe everyone has the ability to do whatever they strive for. I had a teacher in my youth that made such a huge impact in my life, and I have always wanted to repay that favor to other children. I strongly believe that one good teacher can make all the difference in a child's academic career.
I have always been driven to achieve a high level of excellence in everything I do. As a college student, I tutored many of my friends and peers for free.
