My comments on tutoring Writing Skills : I took AP English in high school as well as a variety of composition and literature classes in college.

I am currently pursuing a degree in secondary education with a focus on history from Johnson State College. In the past I have worked as a substitute teacher for all grades as well as a pre-k teacher at a daycare for 3 years. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a BS in Aeronautics and have completed some graduate work in aerodynamics and meteorology. In addition to having given approximately 3000 hours of instruction in aviation subjects, I have authored several textbooks on aircraft design and construction. I've been both a research pilot and a captain on a cargo airline.
My teaching style is straightforward - proceed from the simple to the complex. It appears most subjects require this approach. I find it both helpful and important to try and relate situations encountered in day-to-day life to the specific subject problems.

I fundamentally believe anyone can learn. If a student isn’t grasping a concept, it just means I have to change my style of teaching. I have been a foster and adoptive parent for many years, and I have provided classroom and one-on-one instruction to students with many learning styles, both as a parent and as a professional instructor.
