I enjoy working with children. My volunteering experience with children at Grant Elementary gave me opportunity to realize how much I enjoy teaching. I am currently a medical student at the University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth. Before I started medical school I worked as a tutor for six years with two teenage boys with autism. I first realized how different people learn when my own children were young. My son is gifted and learns in pictures, if he doesn't understand something right away, I had to find a way to relate it to his world whereas my daughter learns by doing.
