While completing my BBA and MA degrees at Wichita State University, I worked for Student Support Services, a TRIO program located on campus. For eight years I tutored low-income and first generation university students serviced by the program. By utilizing innovative tutoring techniques, I achieved a high success rate. In fact, several of my students graduated from university with honors, a goal initially thought to be unachievable. Statistics have revealed that only thirty three percent of students graduate from university, a dismal situation to say the least. I have a bachelor degree in Business Administration. I have only tutored friends, family, and children at the Harbor House/Catholic Charities domestic abuse shelter. I am a very good writer and also good with children.
I enjoy children and I am thrilled to be a part of their success. I believe that if one believes in a child then the child will realize this and also believe in him or herself.
