My comments on tutoring Composition : I have always done well with composition, and have received training during my education and job experience as a secretary. I have also written, but not published many essays, which have been received well.

Relaxed, personal, but concentrate on learning, making progress at student's pace and level of achievement. I will try to make learning fun and interesting.

In my experience as a teacher in the church,I have worked with a variety of students from young to old, from very intelligent to the mentally challenged. Thus I have learned to be flexible. One style does not suit all. With one on one or a small group, the ability to change to fit the student population is extremely important. I've always believed that children learn by doing. I would rather have my students get real hands-on experience because concepts can be better attained and understood if children get real experience with it. I also believe that children learn differently from one another and a teacher should be able to accommodate the different learning styles of her or his students. One method may not work for a student, so I feel that it is the teacher's responsibility to make sure each student reaches their full potential by finding ways that will work for her/his students and then incorporate these differences in the classroom.
