Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities. Being devoted to this assertion confims that I have made the right career choice for myself. I love working with young people, and will continue to strive to be a positive influence in their lives.
I have earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I have over 15 years of teaching experience in all grade levels. I have spent the majority of my teaching career educating young adults in the areas of math, science, reading, social studies and writing.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a part time math teacher at a junior high school and an elementary school teaching assistant. I am a part time math tutor and am looking for new students. My experience as a math tutor ranges from middle school level to adult. I graduated in high standing with a bachelors and masters degree in engineering. I worked as an engineer for four years and then decided to go into the teaching field. As an engineer, I used the principles that I now teach, helping me to develop a strong foundation as a math educator. I am very patient with students and am able to adapt to their individual needs.
