I graduated from Wheelock College with a double major in Human Development and Elementary Education. Working with children has always been an interest of mine and something I enjoy doing. Over the past six years I have had a variety of experience teaching children of all ages. I have taught third grade, Kindergarten, and Pre-Kindergarten. I have been educating people since 1987. I began in music education, which I taught successfully for 9 years, and also taught piano lessons. I then worked in special education for 1 year as an educational technician, where I tutored math, reading, and students with severe disabilities. I continued on a transitional certificate teaching elementary grades two and four, and most recently have taught post-secondary medical assisting students at a post secondary institution as well as teaching night courses in adult education in medical terminology and medical transcription. After, graduation I was an Ed Tech III. Assisting in reading and math. From there I went on to teach Kindergarten at Coastal Christian School in Waldoboro. I taught there for 7 years. During that time I tutored many students in math and reading after school hours. I am currently working on the endorsement 020. I am eager to get back to teaching. I love to work with children and I know it is a gift from above. I use many hands on techniques to help my students learn. I also observe my students to see what technique of teaching reaches them best. I use the method that is needed.
