My comments on tutoring Science : 20 Years teaching experience

20 years experience in mostly urban school settings. Experience with students with disabilities. Written curriculum for living environment, earth science and chemistry. Proficient in computer technology and excellent track record in passing regents exams. Attended CIBT summer July 2014 where I learned cutting edge lab techniques and worked with Cornell equipment. Using this equipment allows me to borrow equipment, labs or bringing professors to the school I teach. I use STEM lessons along with cross curriculum lessons in my teaching.
I believe all students can succeed. I use a multi sensory approach to my teaching to allow all students to learn. I also believe in hands on learning in science. I commend respect from my students and have excellent classroom management.

I love to work with children of any age. I have been volunteering for over 15 years helping wherever and whenever I can to help make the lives of children more enriched. A Little Bit About Me...

Through the extensive teacher preparation program at SUNY Geneseo, I had a wide variety of experiences. As a member of Kappa Delta Pi, I worked with an ESOL student to tutor him in humanities. I also worked in the Access Opportunity Program area, in which I tutored students in English and math. I have continued to gain experience through volunteering with Turkish refugees in the Mt.
