While working with children in the high school in Brooklyn I have come up with a particular way for a student to become engaged in his work and to perform well. When a student has a question about a certain problem I usually perform the solution while he or she is looking. I then try it again with perhaps a different problem. After this, I let the student give it a try with myself making comments if they have a problem.
