LESSONS SHOULD ACCOMMODATE STUDENT LEARNING STYLES

My belief is that all students have different learning styles. Therefore lessons need to be individualized to meet student needs. In order to be successful students need to be engaged by creative teachers. My teaching experience has taught me to accommodate these needs when developing lesson plans.
I have 15 years of teaching experience with special needs students in a rural school district. I returned to college and received my Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1993 and passed the CPA exam in 1994, receiving my license to open my own firm in 1999. I continue to coach and mentor my clients in the finer and larger points of accounting.
My "style" is whatever the student needs. Since each level of education has its own complications, and each student has a different learning capability, my approach must be flexible. Also, I like to use the guide books for each grade that are sold in stationary areas of most stores. For tutoring in reading I've found the Leapfrog Reading Program is very helpful. I like to meet my students at the library so that I can use the resources found in the library, including the computer.
