People are always surprised when they find out I'm a math nerd. I'm outgoing, I like to joke and I play sports. But believe it or not, I actually do enjoy math and this is one of the biggest reasons for my success as a tutor/teacher. I don't fake my enthusiasm and this helps engage students. My teaching style focuses on the student and his/her struggles. I really try to make the student understand the topic at hand and how to study it effectively. Studying techniques are very important and I introduce those techniques to the student. I really guide the student step-by-step through his/her struggles and to build their confidence. I change their mentality to a positive one. I enjoy working with others and I use all the resources that I can to make the student understand the topic.
