A Little Bit About Me...

I have a fun learning approach that I use. I use the latest technology to satisfy the technological students in which I help. When in question, I discover what ways are more convience for a child to learn and add to that.

I have worked in the Education field for 9 years. I started off as a substitute teacher and later became a "permanent substitute" in 2002. In this same year, I also became a class monitor for Psycho-Edu with the Johnson Co. School System. These jobs both required me to help teach elementary students in every subject.
My goal as a teacher is to help children appreciate learning and have fun while doing. I beleive that we all learn in different ways and a person should use a learning strategy that works best for them. I am available to help your child succeed academically. I have had much experience working with children of all ages in the Education Field as a Primary Teacher for Head Start and CIS after school program. I know that this is what I have been called to do and I enjoy doing.

When it comes to my teaching style, I prefer to meet a student and take the first meetings to really get to know them, their learning styles and find out what goals we need to realistically set. After I have a goal in place I then like to work backwards and fill in the blanks of how we are going to achieve our goals. I have been known for my patience and creativity with my students. My goal is to make sure that my students know more then just the answer but be able to explain it as well. No two people learn alike. Everyone has their own learning style and in my years of teaching, I was able to adapt my teaching style to the style of learning that was sufficient for my students. I have worked with students from the elementary level to the high school level and get my blessings from former students that still come up to me and say "thank you" or just come by to visit.
