Japanese is one of my top subjects! I am a native Japanese speaker.

I have experience teaching Japanese to non-native speakers from a variety of backgrounds including ages, native languages, as well as proficiency levels. I have tutored people aged from 5 to 60 years old. I enjoyed working with all of my students. I really enjoy sharing my language and culture with other people and I am so happy when I meet people who are interested in my culture and language. I have M.Ed. in Special Education and I have learned different teaching strategies so I will do my best to give you a lesson that suits your learning style! My comments on tutoring Japanese : I am a native speaker of Japanese and I have been working as a Japanese language coach for almost a year now. I am passionate about teaching and I love meeting new people!

I have been working as a Japanese Language Coach for Rosetta Stone for almost a year now. I won the best QA completion this summer which is based on the monthly coach QA evaluation result. I also receive 100% in teaching evaluation every month. I instruct Japanese online (24 levels) for beginner to advanced students, and I always facilitate lively and energetic online classes. I also translate company’s program related documents from English to Japanese. I also taught 5 week Japanese course to Marines in USMC base in Quantico, VA this summer (2014). A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from Georgetown University in '05 with a BA in Chinese. I won the Chinese Award, spent a semester at Peking University, and received a 7 on the HSK Chinese Proficiency Test. I grew up speaking Japanese. I took a few courses while at GU, spent a semester at Sophia University, and passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level One. I always did fine in my English courses and can help in that regard too. Up until college I was always a math/science guy, and while my calculus and statistics are rusty, I am confident in my ability to tutor up to and including algebra. I was a paid tutor briefly in high school, but besides that have often helped classmates who needed help with this or that subject.
