I enjoy teaching, educating and mentoring students to be all they can be and excel in their coursework. I also enjoy just working with students to encourage them and show them how learning can be fun! I am a very patient and caring person who also offer mentoring and career development to students in many subjects. I use creative teaching and learning by practicing methods to have students enjoy a subject or course material. I also teach students to be able to learn the material in a way that they can be comfortable to teach themselves. A Little Bit About Me...

I am easy going, energetic, very passionate (especially when teaching calculus and physics), and engaging. In most cases it takes only a few sessions and students are having fun. I believe that most students can understand mathematics with a proper explanation. For example, the order of operations is usually presented to students without explanation for its existence. This gives the false sense that it is an arbitrary rule. I enjoy sharing my understanding to students, but I also enjoy providing a role model for my students. If I show compassion to a students it is almost always reciprocated. Academic excellence is a virtue but so is being a kind and caring person. I like to spread this through my teaching style.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been tutoring physics, mathematics and chemistry at the college for Naugatuck Valley Community for the past six years. I have tutored all levels of math through real analysis ad differential equations ad all levels of undergraduate physics. I love what I do and have a great gift for explanation. Tutoring requires, beyond a thorough understanding of the subject matter, an ability to empathize with the student and take the fear out of something new and possibly very difficult for them. I have greatly developed these skills over the past several years.
I have found that the best way to teach math is through analogy and real world examples. I prefer to teach general as opposed to specific methods, as these are more widely applicable. I have a BS in mechanical and materials Engr from the university of conneccticut. I have masters in science management, MBA and project management. I have experience a design engineer, Material failure analyst, project engineer, project manager and program manager. At the current time i am project/business manager for the lower pressure compression for aircraft engines. I have been tutoring since my sophomore year in college.
