I have tutored many in accounting at Ohio State and Franklin University. I try to make the student understand the underlying accounting principles that are involved in their problems. To train them in ways to cross check and verify their answers. I try to get the student to verbalize what they have learned. I firmly believe that if they can explain it logically to me,they understand.If not, more work is necessary. In addition, the ability to communicate is critical in the accounting field. I graduated from Ohio University in 1978 with a BS in Education. I went on to earn a Masters degree in Educational Administration. I hold two valid permanent teaching certificates and a professional license. I have been fortunate to have taught all grades and all subjects with the exception of 1st, 3rd, and 4th. I have also had the pleasure of being an ABLE instructor for adults. I am currently teaching high school, however have been offered a 4th grade position in math and science. I am presently working as a substitute teacher. I am certified to teach mathematics in 7th to 12th grades. I have recently passed the Praxis II tests to teach science in 7th to 12th grades.
