Experienced Tutor

I began tutoring my freshman year of high school. For my fours year of high school I worked at Kumon Learning Center in Los Angeles. Here, I learned a lot of my tutoring experience. I worked with children from the ages of 5 to 17. I helped these children in math from kindergarten math all the way up to calculus, and then in reading and reading comprehension skills from the younger kindergarteners to younger high schoolers. I enjoy working with children and try to teach children in a fun way so they do not become bored and can learn to really understand and grasp concepts. I also enjoy working with teenagers and am confident that I can help all high schoolers with different subjects they struggle with. The reason why I left Kumon Learning Center is because I moved down to San Diego to begin my freshman year of college, so I am now looking forward to continue my tutoring career down here.

Math and Physics tutor

I have just finished junior year of high school and will be a senior this fall. Throughout my life I have always been especially good at math. I never fail to get an A in math every year. In 10th grade I decided to skip Pre-Calculus from Algebra 2 to AP Calculus BC when I enter 11th grade. Interestingly, I still found AP Calculus BC to be relatively easy. I am the vice president of a tutor club at La Costa Canyon High School. I teach students after school all subjects. I also tutored students outside of school. During my junior year I tutored a girl in Pre-Algebra who did not understand how graphs work. I also tutored a high-schooler in Pre-Calculus two weeks ago who had a final in two days. I believe the best way to learn is hands on experience. If I don't find one way to help the student understand I will do my best to try another approach. I have 3 kids under 10, so I am patient with small children, but I expect them to be focused.
