I bring a lot of energy to the classroom and ensure that I am over-prepared for each lesson. I enjoy involving every student in a classroom setting and encourage an active, open learning environment. I also believe it is a very valuable experience to be able to work with students one-on-one. I like to work with each student to figure out his or her individual learning style and needs. Though it may not be applicable for this position, I try to plan group activities when possible, so that students can learn from one another and help each other work through problems.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a college graduate I was motivated to find a job and begin my career. I have decided that after three and a half years of hard work through school and a gratifying 3 years of labratory experience (including 6 months of post-graduate full time work) that I am not ready for a career in chemistry. I have decided to slow the pace down and enjoy life for a while. I have lived in Aspen since December and worked for the SkiCo for that time. I would love to enjoy the summertime out here and to enhance your child's understanding of chemistry or other scientific areas. A Little Bit About Me...

My objective in attaining a Ph.D, was to create the opportunity for myself to teach Biology related courses at any level. My graduate school experience was a fantastic springboard for gaining experience in teaching an array of biology courses. As tutor for an academic excellence program, I worked with students, in small group settings. We explored complex material at depth, and inspired ownership of the learning process. After Graduating from CU, I earned a position as an Assistant Professor at MSCD, before choosing to move to the mountains a find my spirit fulfilled. While I do not have a bachelor's degree, through my training as a certified veterinary technician and subsequent employment in both clinical and shelter settings, I have gained strong aptitudes for science and writing skills. During my employment, I developed a strong love for any opportunity to teach and share anything and everything I was able.
