My comments on tutoring Japanese : Intermediate to advanced spoken Japanese, moderate written. Best when working with beginner Japanese students.

I have a fairly relaxed style, though I am flexible and can adjust to whatever will make the student(s) most comfortable.
I worked as an ESL teacher in Japan for almost four years teaching people of all ages, from toddlers to senior citizens. The opportunity to live in Japan, coupled with study in university has also given me an intermediate level of Japanese. In high school I also had a position as an assistant teacher at a karate dojo, working with large groups of children of all ages. Additionally, having studied and/or worked in Japan, the UK, New Zealand and most recently Australia, I have familiarity interacting with people from wide ethnic, cultural and linguistic backgrounds and can alter my teaching style accordingly.

A Little Bit About Me...

My drive for knowledge enabled me to complete three degrees by the age of 22. I have high grades in all my classes as well as the extra science and writing classes I take on the side. I have a AAST in environmental science and technology, a BA in marine science and environmental studies, and will have my BS in one quarter.
