Flute is one of my top subjects! I have a Bachelors degree in flute from the University of Tennessee.

I have played flute for 13 years and have played in many different settings including: Concert, jazz, solo, choir, etc. I studied under Dr. Shelley Binder for 4 years at the University of Tennessee, specifically working under the French school for flute. I worked with Rusty Holloway for 2 years learning the basics of Jazz and have performed in several small jazz groups. I also play guitar on a regular basis; I know the basic open chords and barre chords. I know how to teach the basics of guitar using the student's preferred music.

My comments on tutoring Flute : I am a flute player and studied flute in my college years. I am a very patient tutor/teacher which makes flute instruction for children and adults especially appealing to the student.

I have worked with the following populations throughout the many years of professional experience: mental health patients - (children & adults), special needs, developmentally disabled, people with learning disabilities, those with ADD/ADHD, Children, Adolescents, and Adults of varying ages and skill sets. I know some sign language so I am able to communicate with others who have little to no hearing. I have worked within the schools and have experience aiding students. I am very flexible and willing to adjust for the needs of the student and meet them where they are in the learning process.
