I have worked as an English tutor for elementary Egyptian students attending a summer program. I have been working as a student athlete tutor for French and the honors program for the past 2 years with varying levels of frequency. I have mainly worked with one athlete who is studying French. People have all different manners of learning information, and most people need a lot of visuals and real life experiences, especially if their first language is not English. Teachers should be able to get to know each of their students and differentiate their instruction to help all of their students. Tutoring is a great way for teachers to get to know students better and thus better address their needs with quality instruction.
