I began learning Spanish at the age of 3 when I attended an Awty International School in Houston for 7 years and have since continued. I have lived with a host family in Costa Rica the summer of 2007 and again in Brazil the summer of 2010. I speak both fluently.

I am currently working as a part-time instructor at Austin Community College teaching Composition I. About a year ago I moved back to Texas from San Diego, where I earned my MA in English and spent several semesters teaching a variety of writing courses at area community colleges, as well as at San Diego State University.
