Computer is one of my top subjects!

Although not degreed in math, science or computers, they were my favorite subjects. More importantly, I am gifted in communicating concepts into terms my students understand and grasp. Repetition doesn't equate to learning, it's a component, it's a way to practice, but it is not how the mind grasps the concept. You will find me kind and patient, I understand you may not get the concept the first or second time. I do however, have high expectations in completing homework. My comments on tutoring Computer : Utilized MacIntosh, IBM, personal computers; other software programs to include Word Perfect.

I started out tutoring elementary students in basic math and English grammar while I attended college part time in the 1980's. I continued tutoring young students and adults in the 1990's, tutoring Basic Math, Basic and Intermediate Algebra, Basic Geometry, English Composition, Speech, Study Skills and the Sciences. In addition, tips were given to enhance test-taking skills in hard-to-Ace subjects like Economics. I enjoy working with young children, and helping them to understand the subject and how to apply it in their daily life. My overall goal is to help the child understand for their own good. It defeats the purpose if the child can do math or english while I am sitting right next to them. I was also a tutor at Macomb Community College (Center Campus) during the years 1997 and 1998. I was a math and physics tutor in the Center Campus learning center. The tutoring was mainly for community college students and occasionally high school students attending Macomb. Additionally, I would help a friend who was teaching at Wayne State or LTU by teaching one or 2 days of a course for him when he was on vacation.

I went to public schools in East Detroit, Michigan. In eighth grade I set a personal goal to attend the University of Michigan. I never had private tutors. My strongest subject is math.
