When most high school seniors were registering for classes, they had an easy agenda planned. My intentions were entirely different. I decided to challenge myself the final year and study more science coursework than was needed for me to sufficiently graduate. In addition, I was the kind of friend that was reliable in understanding course concepts, so most of my friends and some other peers were coming to me for help. In college, I continued to pursue my interest in business. Through out college I contributed to my church's youth group by helping in organizing and implementing their projects.
I enjoy children and trying to teach them new and exciting things. At times, I understand that it requires patience to work with children, but if you are able to do that then chances of success are much more likely. I love teaching and working with all children, and I love to teach my own native language as well as my own culture. I believe all children can learn, but each in different ways. I have the capabilities to help your child to speak, write and read in the Spanish language. I utilize different teaching methods to acquire a new language through role play, discovery and in providing a constructivist approach to learning.
I have earned two Associates Degrees in my native Mexico, in the city of Merida. I came to the USA in 1978 and continued my studies in Elementary Education, which has enabled me to gain an understanding of the English language.
