I take a hands on approach to teaching. The best way to learn is by using a three step program. 1) Explain and project the information onto the student, 2) Work the problem out with the student, and 3) Supervise as the student attempts the problem individually. If necessary, I can assign useful problems for the student to complete. I am an engineering student at Marietta College. I have a strong background of Mathematics all the way up to Differential Equations. I am able to drive to your home, meet you on campus or even a library. I attended a highly selective boarding school in Delaware where my learning and group think skills were developed. I have had to balance extracurricular activities with school for many years and I understand how instrumental a tutor can be in the learning process.

Completing a double major in Computer Science and Mathematics in less than four years took dedication and excellent study skills. I feel that it is important to explain basic underlying theory behind science and math, as well as presenting these topics in a step by step, logical manner. I feel it is important to teach methods for how to obtain a solution and not rely on rot memorization of facts and equations. As a graduate student I taught an undergraduate engineering lab course for a semester, and spend 2-3 additional semesters grading tests and assignments for various undergraduate level courses in mechanical engineering. In addition, I also worked as a tutor during my senior year in high school, as well as at various times while an undergraduate student in college. The subjects that I have teaching/tutoring experience are in the fields of math and science.
