A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style will always be based on the students learning style.
I have been tutoring grades K-9 for quite a few years. I've also taught a preschool class while in high school. I am currently majoring in Early Childhood Education and Special education at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. When I work with others on writing papers, I always make sure to tell them why I suggest the changes I do. Making sure that they understand why I suggest a change is important. Reinforcing those rules while also pointing to an example on their own work always helps to show the students how to improve their own writing. I believe that showing them rather than telling them is a productive strategy to teaching composition and reinforcing the etiquette involved in essay writing. Pointing out these areas of improvement to the student on a one-on-one basis allows the student to learn and implement changes in the future.
