My comments on tutoring Study Skills : Working as a tutor in the Academic Recourse Center, I have considerable experience assisting in the improvement of study methods.

As a student, I understand the importance of a good teacher. I always try and help the student find and correct their own mistakes, rather than merely giving them the corrections. I have found that the listening is one of the most important tools that a tutor has at their disposal: in my experience, the student knows where their weaknesses and difficulties lie, even if they are unable to articulate the problem areas. Therefore, as a tutor, I always try and listen carefully to the student and adapt the lesson to each students respective needs.
During the last two years of my undergraduate career I worked as an Arabic and Economics tutor in the Academic Resource Center at Tufts University. My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I have lived with ADHD my whole life, so as you can guess studying was a huge problem. I have figured out the best way to actually study, but even better, To CONTINUE studying all my subjects. A lot of numeric devices and memory tools i have learned. Whether unfocused, or need better ways to remember material, or need to simply study more.

I have always been a hands on learner, so that is mostly the way i portray my lessons, by doing, instead of readin. However i also see the need in having to sit down and Get to work, because some thing are better learned on paper
